Working experience:- Ideally to have more than 2 years working experience at machining process related industry as a manufacturing Engineer or Process engineer. Must have knowledge of Geometric Design and Tolerancing (GD&ampampT) and able to interpret engineering drawings in machine shop. Must have experience in machine tool ion, machining parameter ion in one or more machining processes such as turning, milling, boring, drilling etc. Preferred to have background on deep hole boring manufacturing experience but not a must. Preferred to have theoretical and practical knowledge in root cause analysis tools and product quality investigations. Prefer to have working knowledge of continuous improvement (CI) or Lean Six Sigma (LSS) tools in manufacturing.However depends on the person’s educational background willingness and motivation, above requirement can be adjusted accordingly.Educational background:- Studied mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, machining process engineering or any relevant engineering in the University. However depends on the person’s work experience and skills obtained by the previous job, above requirement can be adjusted accordingly.Required English skill:- Excellent reading and writing English skill. Ideal if fluent in speaking English however not a strong requirement as long as potential to improve it in future.Direct report:- Expected directly reporting to Product Line Manager or Manufacturing Team Leader.Main Job responsibility:- Performs the lead role in the implementation of manufacturing processes and techniques - and the implementation of LEAN and use of Six Sigma tools.- He/she is the owner of their respective manufacturing processes and standards and enforces implementation by training shop floor personnel, implementing and monitoring metrics, and oversight.- He/she is responsible to solve complex manufacturing problems and take an active role in troubleshooting quality and production yield related issues within manufacturing. These activities are performed in line with company strategy, and in conformity to relevant standards.KPI or Objectives:- Develop and standardize manufacturing process for products manufactured in house. Implement process improvements to achieve manufacturing excellence in areas such as process yield (e.g. First Pass Yield, Rolled Throughput Yield), cycle time reduction and productivity.- Creates, implements, and monitors key performance indicators and metrics on manufacturing process capability and product quality.- Monitoring and reducing process costs.- Provide shop floor feedback on product design and manufacturability issues to Engineering and Design For Manufacturing engineers (e.g. through the use of Engineering Change Requests - ECRs)
