ROC is4> PURPOSE OF THE JOB Responsibility for managing and optimizing that part of the hydrocarbon production process relating to the interface between the reservoir and the surface facilities for the Zhao Dong project and other developments as they are acquired by ROC. This will entail the technological, operational and equipment aspects of the business associated with that specialized area of the hydrocarbon production process including well design, well integrity and reserves extraction. ESSENTIAL DUTIES · Review and report on operating and production performance · Identify and pursue opportunities for the optimization of both individual wells and the field in the overall context. · Perform conceptual and detailed well completion design. · Recommend and participate in well testing, production and performance monitoring, oil loss identification and reporting (all with the objective of optimizing production performance). · Contribute to HSE planning/ution to promote a safe and environmentally sound work place and project. · Liaise with peers to develop ROC’s skills base. · Interact with other disciplines within ROC, particularly those of Reservoir Engineering, Drilling and Production to achieve department/company objectives · Correspond with Joint Venture participants as appropriate on technical aspects of projects. · Perform sand failure prediction calculations and optimum sand control method. · Define and implement a continuous improvement programme for production operations. · Provide on-site engineering and operations support for wells. · Recommend appropriate new and fit for purpose technologies. · Prepare economic evaluations to maximise project value · Contribute to the overall performance of the production operations · Communicate in a clear and timely manner with all staff and external associates as appropriate for optimum functioning of the organisation. · Provide input to work programmes, budgets and AFEs (as appropriate), contributing to cost and schedule monitoring. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED a) Formal Education/Training Degree qualified (ideally to MSc level) in Petroleum and/or Mechanical Engineering b) Necessary or useful knowledge, skills & experience 15+ years in a similar role Experience in mature oil fields and a close affiliation with field operations would be an advantage Significant experience in the optimal life cycle design of well architecture, functionality and placement using latest technology. Demonstrated inter-personal skills A demonstrable commitment to HSE Ability to work in a team, work to project goals and deadlines and to prepare and present results in a coherent and timely manner.
